So I finally started a project with my new table... Louie kept telling me that with his luck I would never sew again after he bought me the table...But that would never happen...
Since I am going to Illinois/Indiana to visit some of my family when school is over...I thought it would be nice to make something for my wonderful grandmother... She is the best, she makes the best food that you can't help but take seconds of...My grandfather and her have a vegetable garden and do all sorts of things around their house... and their sofa has wonderful sleep inducing powers (or so my brothers and brother-in-law think!)
Anywho...
I have always wanted to make an apron, but really had no use for it...I personally don't cook meals long enough to actually bother putting one on...maybe when I graduate and I have more time to pick up baking again... So my mom gave me the idea to make one for my grandmother... and this morning after registering for my fall classes I got to work on Grandma's Mother's Day gift.

This is the finished apron...It is reversible and super colorful... I can't wait to see her wear it...Now to work on gifts for my many aunts who I will also be seeing on my visit... Ahh so many family members I would love to make things for... It may become a summer long project...
p.s. for those who see Grandma often... please don't tell her about the apron...
Ok, so the bag you made Aurora is so cute! you have to teach me to sew, because it's about the only thing, craft wise, that I don't do! Hope your having fun with finals!!! I would so fail law school, I tell Cory that all the time...I would rather do crafts and play than read..
